It' time for another of Rob's Rants!

More news. It seems that each week a new article comes out that shoots another hole in the "consensus" of global warming.

Now the term is being called climate change to help insulate the movement from the unfortunate word warming. I think our world is better off because we had environmentalist battling against pollution in the 60's 70's and 80's. I think our world will be better off because the global warming crowd brought world attention to carbon emissions. BUT... They take their arguments too far. A little moderation and common sense will go a long way to win over the average person. Don't tell me to conserve energy to save the planet. Show me how it is economically beneficial and will improve my life to conserve energy. Don't tell me to change my brand of kitchen cleaner to make a better world for my children. Give me a better functioning product, competitively priced, that by the way is good for the environment.

Chevy gets it. It is making its new environmentally friendly cars cool and desirable. They are not bringing back the underpowered ugly small cars from the 70's to address the high cost of gasoline. They have developed some alternative products that look good, function competitively, and are good for the environment.

I hate to sound like I am on a political soap box... but. The environmentalist need to ditch their socialist mindset and embrace a capitalistic approach to get their desired outcome. Bring me good products that are environmentally friendly and I might even be willing to pay a premium for them. EVERYBODY WINS!

I'm climbing off my soap box now and will return to being quiet.
